Donkervoort

Testimonial

The people who buy our cars are the most passionate and most informed about their driving, their cars and their responsibilities. We don’t have millions of customers, but their voices should still be heard.
Technology for us should always be first and foremost a means to create human emotions.

Denis Donkervoort, Managing Director

Company Info

Founded in 1978 by Joop Donkervoort, the Dutch carmaker concentrates on lightweight, highly emotional, handcrafted and very exclusive fast cars.

Only 1500 Donkervoorts have ever been made, and because of its close relationship with its customers, no two cars have ever been identical.

Known as a customer-focused, technologically brave company, its D8 GTO-JD70 was the first production car to breach the 2G cornering barrier. It also spun off its breakthrough Ex-Core carbon-fibre process last year.

Donkervoort D8 GTO-JD70

An homage to the 70th birthday of Donkervoort founder Joop Donkervoort, the D8 GTO-JD70 is blisteringly fast, whipping to 100km/h in just 2.7 seconds. More interestingly, the manual, rear-drive supercar pulls 2G of cornering acceleration thanks to its clever suspension engineering and new Nankang tyres.

Donkervoort D8 GTO-JD70 R

The track version of the D8 GTO-JD70, the JD70 R is faster, louder and angrier and comes with some serious hardware upgrades, including a six-speed paddle-shift gearbox, racing ABS and adjustable power steering.

Donkervoort D8 GTO-JD70 Bare Naked Carbon Edition (BNCE)

If the JD70 is the all-rounder and the JD70 R is the hard-core track racer, the Bare Naked Carbon Edition is Donkervoort’s art car.

With the same running gear as the JD70 or the JD70 R, the BNCE can be ordered with our coloured carbon, showing both Donkervoort’s expertise in carbon-fibre and the customer’s own flair in one stunning body.

+ Heritage

Donkervoort began in 1978, when Joop Donkervoort’s first Ford-powered cars left his workshop in Tienhoven, The Netherlands.

It moved to Loosdrecht, then found its current home in Lelystadt, where it has built a reputation for design, detail, customer satisfaction and pure speed.

Today, the D8 GTO range uses five-cylinder, turbocharged engines from Audi Sport and obsesses about the intersection of weight, strength and high art.

+ Country of origin

The Netherlands, hand-built in Lelystad.
