+ Heritage

Koenigsegg Automotive AB was founded by Christian von Koenigsegg in August 1994.  The company’s first customer vehicles were delivered in 2001 and the company has been collecting records around the world ever since.  Koenigsegg built the world’s first ever production vehicle with a 1:1 power to weight ratio in 2014-5.  Technology from this vehicle has flowed into the Agera RS model currently in production and Koenigsegg has again lifted the bar with the development of the Regera.  With over 1MW of output, the Regera is truly a high-performance hybrid ‘megacar’.

+ Country of origin

Sweden has long been synonymous with automotive engineering.  It is the home of automotive safety pioneers Volvo, and Saab Automobile, as well as the world-famous SKF ballbearing company.  This tradition now continues with Koenigsegg Automotive – a proudly Swedish company that is taking on the best in the world.
