+ Heritage

Koenigsegg Automotive AB was founded by Christian von Koenigsegg in August 1994.  The company’s first customer vehicles were delivered in 2002, and the company has been breaking world records ever since.  Koenigsegg built the world’s first ever production vehicle with a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio in 2014, the Koenigsegg One:1. Technology from this vehicle flowed into the Agera RS, and then Koenigsegg again lifted the bar with the Regera. Now, with the Jesko Absolut, Jesko Attack and Gemera, Koenigsegg continues to redefine what’s possible with automotive performance and design.

Sweden has long been synonymous with automotive engineering.  It is the home of automotive safety pioneers Volvo, and Saab Automobile, as well as the world-famous SKF ballbearing company.  This tradition now continues with Koenigsegg Automotive – a proudly Swedish company that is taking on the best in the world.
